Camp year #2

I had such an amazing week at camp. In fact I want to go back before the summer is over for their missions week. I learned so much. The dean couldn't had said it better- the camp has played a huge part in my spiritual development. It has done that for sure. I got baptized yesterday. This school year was so hard for me that I felt that God wasn't there for me. God was always there for me, but he has come back according to my feelings. I feel so blessed and different. Thanks God and camp friends.

Chrysalis

At this time last weekend I was in the place that changed my life. My friend was going on the a weekend that I went on in the fall of my freshman year and I was working it. Having him go on the walk was a real blessing to me. My friend is an absolutely different young man than he was before this!!!The week before the walk, I thought I was losing him. He was going through some really tough stuff and he wouldn't let me do anything. He was pushing me away. Then the sunday before the walk, he got himself back. He was really looking forward to going on Chrysalis. Then it finally came. I spent the night at the campground the night before since I was working it. I had some time out with my friends, then I went to bed. I couldn't sleep for anything. I kept thinking about how Dominic was coming in the morning and I couldn't stop praying for him. Throughout the night I was thinking that he will be a butterfly in Christ in two mornings. God changed his life. We had my sweet 16th birthday party yesterday and he got me card with religious words on it. It says, "Because God created you...you are a very special person in this world...Because He loves you, there's no end to all the good things He has in store for you. And because He made you so wonderfully, you are a true blessing to everyone who knows you. Wishing You a Birthday Filled with Happiness". He also got me a gift card from target that is a butterfly!!! That shows me that Chrysalis was the best time of his life. He will remember that he is a butterfly in Christ for the rest of his life. On this walk, we give people apage letters. Those letters show the candiates that people care and are praying for them. I am really surprised that Dominic didn't know about them because I have my letters on the wall in my bedroom. He never asked that they are for and he was totally surprised by his letters. I am so thankful to God for letting me co sponser him with my mom. I used my allowance to pay for most of his fee. I feel so blessed that I was able to be a huge part of his weekend. Even though I was doing behind the scenes work, I was still there!!!! Thanks God for letting me be there!!!!!!! Overall a great weekend. It will be in my heart along side with my weekend for the rest of our lives!!!!!!!

Camp

On June 24th, 2012, I left for a three hour drive to my first time going to church camp! This week has changed me in more than words can say!!! I had an amazing touch from God!!!!!! He taught so many things!!!!!! I met the most amazing friends ever!!!!!! One of my friends told me that I am amazing and don't let anybody else tell you any different!!!! I have never cried over an complement in my entire life until that moment!!!! It's hard to believe i'm writing because word can't even explain how my life has changed!!!!! I will go no matter if I end up missing school next summer!!!!! I sure hope Kentucky has a mild winter!!!!!!! i can't wait for next year!!!!!!

This summer

This summer has its ups and downs! There has been some great ups!!!!! I have made some awesome new friends this summer by going to camp and working at my Church's VBS!!!!!!!! One of my really close friends has been gone since June 24th and I miss him like nobody could believe!!!!!! I am really ready for school to start!!!!!! The last time I was really ready for school to start two weeks before it actually started was the summer between my 7th and 8th grade year!!!!!!! I wasn't ready last year because I was going into High School!!!!!! I am now an incoming sophomore and I am ready for school to start!!!!!!! I get to see my friends again and I get two of my teachers again this year!!!!!!!!!!!! I sure hope the next 15 days go by really fast!!!!!!!!!

My mom and I have been talking tonight because I have been having a really hard time trusting God. She told me that "he has blessed you with so many things, but you aren't looking at them. You are looking at the negative. One of the great things he has blessed you with is your school district. You are in the best school district in the world." My mom is so right about that. I have been in this school district since Januray 22, 2009. Every year, that day for me is a flash back day. I think of all the memories I have made since then. I have not only had great teachers. I have also had the greatest princpals too. Each year they do so much for me I can't even count them all. I thank all of my teachers for doing all that they have done for me.

The good things God has brought out if very hard times in my life

Jer 29:11: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
I started my piece of with that verse because God has used that to bring things into my life that I never expected that I could not thank him enough for. He used on of the toughest situations in my life and turned it completely around for the better. If my cousin did not move back to Lubbock, I would not be in the school district that I am today. I would not have the teachers that are my friends and most of all, I wouldn't have my best friend Dominic. When Jeremy moved, I felt like my life was ruined and that God took my best friend away from me! Then in September of 08, my parents and I were forced to go live with my aunt and uncle in the Meade County part of Vine Grove. I was homeschooled at the time. This one day, I started to get really angry because I sick of being the only student and not having any friends so I went and asked my mom if I could go to public school. She went to the board of education and she was very happy with everything. I have been back to public school since 1-22-09! I will always remember that date for the rest of my life!!!!!! When I started, I made a friend right away. My teacher asked my friend Ali to help get my stuff set up! I had the best teacher in the world and we are still friends to this day! Mrs. Miller, you are a blessing to me and you will always be in my heart!
Then before I knew it I was starting middle school! Those we the best two years of my life! If it wasn't for God none of this would have happened!

Last Weekend

I just had the most amazing weekend of my life. I can't believe I am writing because words just can't describe it. I met some awesome people. We learned so much, its unbelieveable. About a year and half ago at youth, we had to set Godly goals for our selves, and I didn't reach it when it was time to. Well, I have finally reached it this past weekend. I knew God had told me to wait to reach it, but I had no Idea that Chrysails was his timing. He used my awesome new friends to finally open me up to his love. I have been so blessed these past few days. I will be forvever touched by God's work in me this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!
